Lisbon · Príncipe Real
Eleven studios, two event floors and a kitchen that runs all day. Meridian is where independent studios, small teams and the occasional touring exhibition share an address.
Month-to-month · No deposit · Doors open 07:00
The house
Swipe through the floors. Every room is bookable by the hour once you hold a key.
The house in numbers
We cap membership on purpose. When the corridor stops introducing people to each other, it stops being worth the rent.

Kitchen from seven, last light out at midnight.
Talks, launches, two weddings and a book fair.
Rato, on the yellow line.
Ways in
Pick the one that matches how you actually work. You can change it at the end of any month.
Ground floor, your own drawer, a plant if you insist. Includes eight hours of meeting-room time a month and the kitchen, which is the real reason people stay.
Eleven private studios between 14 and 40 square metres. Fit two people or six. Paint the walls — several members already have, and one of them regrets it.
Ninety seated, a hundred and forty standing, a projector that works and a bar licence that runs to 01:00. We do not take a cut of ticket sales.
Two studios are held back each quarter for people doing work that could not pay for a studio. Applications open in March and September, decided by the members.
Honestly
Here is the same table we send people who ask why. The rows where we lose are still in it.

A walk through
Filmed on an ordinary Tuesday in February, which is the least flattering month we have. Nothing was tidied.
Autumn residency
Two studios, three months, no rent. Decided by a vote of the members, announced the first Friday of October.
Applications close at the end of the month. — Wednesday, October 14, 2026 6:00 PM

If yours is not here, the kitchen phone is answered by whoever is nearest it.
No. Everything is month-to-month and you give notice by the 25th. We have never asked anyone for a deposit and do not intend to start.
Yes, and four members already do. The only rule is that they get on with Nina, who was here first and knows it.
Not currently. The building closes at midnight and reopens at seven. This is the thing we are asked to change most often, and the thing the neighbours ask us not to.
Desk or studio, kitchen, meeting rooms by the hour, print room, post handling, and the events floor at member rates. Coffee is included; the good coffee is €1.
The second floor is silent by agreement, the ground floor is not. People take calls in the booths, mostly.
Yes. Rates are the same either way; members just get first refusal on dates.
A person reads these, usually within a day. If you want a walkthrough, say which morning suits you.
